Terms of Service
By using Vivum you agree to these terms. Last updated: May 2026.
What Vivum is
Vivum is an open registry that indexes interactive, web-native scientific articles. It stores metadata and links to articles hosted elsewhere. Vivum does not host article content and is not responsible for the content of external URLs indexed on the platform.
Author responsibilities
Authors who submit articles to Vivum retain full ownership of their work. By submitting, you confirm that you have the right to make the article publicly accessible and that it does not infringe on any third-party copyright, patent, or other intellectual property right.
You are responsible for maintaining the availability of the URL you submit. Vivum does not archive article content; broken links may result in removal from the index.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use Vivum to submit content that is fraudulent, defamatory, harassing, or in violation of applicable law. Spam submissions, coordinated inauthentic voting, or any attempt to manipulate community scores is prohibited and may result in account termination.
Scraping or automated access to the platform at a scale that degrades service for other users is not permitted without prior written agreement.
Community conduct
Comments and review nominations are intended to support good-faith scientific evaluation. Personal attacks, harassment of authors or other users, and off-topic content may be removed. Repeated violations may result in account suspension.
Content removal
Vivum reserves the right to remove any submission, comment, or account that violates these terms or that is otherwise determined to be detrimental to the platform and its community. We will make reasonable efforts to notify affected users.
Limitation of liability
Vivum is provided as-is, without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for damages arising from your use of the platform, from downtime, or from content submitted by third parties. Access to Vivum may be interrupted or terminated at any time.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the platform evolves. Continued use of Vivum after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. Significant changes will be announced on the platform.
